By accessing or using the MemoryLane mobile application and website (collectively, the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.

About MemoryLane
MemoryLane is a digital support application created to help individuals living with Alzheimer’s and Dementia stay connected to their memories, routines, and loved ones, while providing caregivers with tools for better daily support and safety.
MemoryLane is not a medical device and does not replace professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
Eligibility and Account Responsibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create a caregiver account.
If you create an account on behalf of a person living with dementia, you confirm that you have the legal right and consent to manage information for that individual.
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your login details
- All activities that occur under your account
- Ensuring that shared caregivers are trusted individuals
Medical Disclaimer
MemoryLane provides organizational, memory support, safety, and communication tools only.
The Service:
- Does not provide medical advice
- Does not diagnose health conditions
- Does not guarantee prevention or delay of cognitive decline
Always consult qualified healthcare professionals regarding medical decisions.
App Features and Availability
MemoryLane provides features including:
- Smart reminders
- Visual life journals
- GPS-based safety zones
- Cognitive exercises
- Caregiver dashboards and reports
We may update, modify, or discontinue features at any time to improve performance or security.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Service.
Location and Safety Features
The GPS and safety zone features rely on device settings and network availability.
MemoryLane is not an emergency service and should not be relied upon as the sole method of monitoring a person’s safety.
You agree to use location features only with the full knowledge and consent of the individual being monitored.
User Content and Memories
You retain ownership of all photos, notes, and personal content uploaded to MemoryLane.
By using the Service, you grant MemoryLane a limited, secure license to store and display your content solely for providing the Service.
We do not sell your memories, photos, or personal information.
Care Circle and Shared Access
MemoryLane allows you to invite family members and caregivers into a shared “Care Circle.”
You are responsible for managing who has access to:
- memories
- activity logs
- mood data
- location information
You may remove any member from your Care Circle at any time.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- misuse the Service
- attempt to access other users’ data
- interfere with system security
- upload unlawful or harmful content
- use the platform for commercial or abusive purposes
Intellectual Property
All software, designs, logos, and content belonging to MemoryLane remain the exclusive property of MemoryLane.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the Service.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or misuse the Service.
You may stop using the Service at any time.
Upon termination, your access to your account and Care Circle will be disabled.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MemoryLane shall not be liable for:
- personal injury
- emotional distress
- lost data
- inaccurate reminders or notifications
- device or network failures
Your use of the Service is at your own risk.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time.
Any changes will be posted within the app or on our website.
